A small advisory practice for finance careers in Germany

IntelliTechApps Job Support exists to help accounting and controlling professionals make clearer decisions about roles, applications, and transitions — grounded in how German employers actually hire.

Why we focus on this field

Finance hiring in Germany still runs on precise titles, recognisable credentials, and evidence of work with HGB figures, Kostenstellen, or Forecast-Zyklen. General career coaches often miss those signals. We stay inside that vocabulary so advice maps to Bilanzbuchhalter paths, controller tracks, and the expectations of Mittelstand and corporate finance teams.

Origin

The practice grew from repeated conversations with people who had strong technical skill but weak positioning for the German market — CVs written for Anglo-Saxon labels, interview answers that sounded textbook-correct and workplace-thin, or transition plans that skipped the language and reporting gaps employers notice first. We formalised those conversations into defined consultations so clients know what they are buying and what they are not.

Working approach

Sessions are deliberate. We ask for documents in advance, name constraints early, and refuse to invent a career story that will not survive a Fachinterview. Written follow-ups stay short: decisions made, documents to update, and one or two research tasks. We do not place candidates with employers or guarantee offers.

Where we work

Our base is in Freistaat Bayern. Consultations take place in person when practical, or by scheduled video call for clients elsewhere in Germany or preparing a move into the country. Regional salary notes often reference Bayern and neighbouring labour markets; we flag when a path requires looking further afield.

Values we hold in client work

  • Specificity over encouragement that could apply to any industry
  • Honesty about language, credential, and seniority gaps
  • Client ownership of applications and employer contact
  • Clear scope — no quiet expansion of the engagement without agreement
